Siemens Adds New High-Pressure Controller to Varea-Meter Product Offering
The Water Technologies division of the Siemens Group Industrial Solutions and Services (I&S) has introduced a high-pressure version of its Series 5750 general purpose purge-type flow controller. The new controller is designed to control low volume chemical flows in systems with varying high pressure up to 1000 PSI.
Whether used alone or in conjunction with the Wallace & Tiernan Arma-View II armored purgemeter, the Varea-Meter Series 5750 controller can supply accurate purging. In addition, the controller can be used for high-pressure sample take-off systems used on in-line sampling systems. One of its primary uses is alumina production and similar processes for injecting water into a high-back pressure application.
The high-pressure version of the Series 5750 controller maintains a constant flow regardless of pressure variations and includes an integral high precision control valve for easy setting of flowrate. It is offered in three capacity ranges from 0.8 gallons per hour (4.5 standard cubic feet per hour) to 25 GPH (117 SCFH), and is capable of accepting a maximum inlet pressure of 1000 PSI up to a 300 PSI differential.
The Varea-Meter Series 5750 controller's design makes it simple to integrate within a system. It is offered in 316 stainless steel construction and can be fitted to the Arma-View II armored purgemeter or used as a stand-alone in the process line.
The Series 5750 high pressure controller is part of the Wallace & Tiernan line of Varea-Meter products from Siemens Water Technologies.
